Chasing a dream that feels bigger than me.

My name is Valérie, I’m 19 years old, and I’m an aspiring bobsleigh athlete for Team Canada. Most athletes in this sport start around 25 — but I decided to take the leap early and give everything I have to pursue this dream.

It hasn’t been easy. Between long training camps away from home in Quebec, doing online classes to stay on track with school, and working remotely whenever I can to support myself — I’m learning what sacrifice really means. This sport demands everything: time, focus, and unfortunately, a lot of financial investment.

From equipment and travel to camp fees and accommodation, every step forward comes with a cost. But I believe in what I’m building — and I’m willing to do whatever it takes to one day represent Canada on the Olympic stage.
