Help Sarah, Bailey & Our Family Through This Medical Crisis.

Our beautiful sister Sarah is living every parent’s worst nightmare, Her 15 year old son Bailey has spent the last 14 days in hospital fighting an extremely rare and aggressive case of deep vein thrombosis (DVT).

What began as what we thought were just growing pains quickly turned into something far more serious. After countless doctor visits, tests, scans, and emergency surgeries, Bailey has now endured:

7 days at Frankston Hospital

7 days (and counting) at Monash Children’s Hospital

3 major surgeries, with a 4th scheduled

MRIs, CT scans, X-rays, ultrasounds, injections, sedation, hourly pain relief… the list goes on.

There are still more surgeries ahead, and the emotional and physical toll has been unimaginable.

Bailey’s blood clot extends from his knee to his IVC (the body’s largest vein). It’s affecting his circulation causing severe pain, swelling and serious risk if untreated. Despite multiple procedures, new clots have formed and he continues to fight every day with so much courage.

Sarah has not left his side day or night.

Sarah has now exhausted all her paid leave and is unable to work while caring for her son.

Bills are piling up, and the financial pressure is overwhelming.

Bailey has a younger brother Seth who lives with Sarah and has had his world turned upside down during all of this. With his mum needing to be at the hospital constantly, Seth’s routine and stability have been heavily disrupted.

We, Emma and Rebecca are reaching out to ask for help on Sarah’s behalf.

Every dollar raised will go directly towards helping her family with:

Household bills and day-to-day living expenses.

Transport, accommodation and parking for the hospital.

Food, fuel, and essentials while Sarah stays with Bailey.

Support for Bailey’s recovery and for Seth during this challenging time
