Team Azucena: Support Her Cancer Fight

There are times when we face hurdles so big, it takes a village to conquer them. This is one of those times. The saying “bad things happens to good people” couldn’t be more true. Azucena is a smart, driven, happy young woman. She moved to Colorado seven years ago to marry her love Sam, and in 2022 they welcomed their little girl Kayla. Azucena loves being a mom! Kayla is the light of her life and she is deeply grateful for this spirited two year old. Despite how bubbly and happy Azucena was, her life took a sharp turn. After a little more than a year of struggling with her health, Azucena learned she has advanced Classical Hodgkins Lymphoma. It was quite a difficult road getting to a diagnosis. She lost nearly a third of her body weight in a short amount of time, has experienced debilitating fatigue, and has had drenching night sweats. She was hospitalized multiple times this past year from being so sick. Now, armed with the power of a diagnosis, Azucena sets off to battle this cancer with fierce determination. Her love for her family and sweet little Kayla fuels her every day to fight. As Azucena embarks on this part of her journey, those who love her are rallying around her with support. In addition to gifts, chemo care baskets, and meals, we are looking to help alleviate some of the financial stress her family is facing. Any support is greatly appreciated, as it takes a village!
