Team Andi-kicking cancers a%#

11 months ago this life changed for Andi and everyone who knows and loves her. After a checkup one Friday afternoon she was transformed from a healthy 36 year old mother of three and newlywed/stepmom of two; into a stage four colon cancer patient. It took 24 hours for her life to be shaken to its core.
The battle thus far has been long and hard fought. She has just completed her 18th round of chemo therapy, two rounds of targeted radiation treatment, and a series of injections to stimulate her dwindling white cell count. She has survived a ruptured colon and emergency surgery and has done so with the grace and faith of an angel. 
This process is taking a great toll on Andi and her family. She has an amazing support system and as usual she is reluctant to utilize them. My hope is to raise money that can be used for Andi and her family to hire help for her wherever a need arises. The needs vary from day to day, and this financial boost may allow her to seek help that is as flexible and varied as her daily needs are, without feeling like she is placing a burden on anyone.
There is no one more deserving of kindness and support than this woman. I have been her best friend for well over 20 years and without fail every day she sends a message to ask how I am doing?!?
