Team Alison - Leiomyosarcoma Fight

In September 2024 my sister Alison, was diagnosed with Leiomyosarcoma—a very rare and aggressive type of soft tissue cancer that is resistant to chemotherapy.

While they were able to surgically remove the primary tumor entirely which was a whopping 6lbs, the cancer had already spread to her liver.

At this time surgical intervention for the liver metastasis is not an option.

Her first round of chemotherapy was unfortunately unsuccessful, and she has begun a new regimen this spring.

Our goal is to ease the financial burden of co-pays, co-insurance, uncovered medications, and travel expenses as her oncology team is located over 3 hours from Alison’s home.
