Alicia and I have served together faithfully as pastor and business administrator for our small church in San Pedro, CA (Calvary Chapel) for 7 years. After surviving uterine cancer two years ago, now cancer has struck in a new place. Alicia is in extreme pain because it’s pressing on her muscle next to her spine.

We do have insurance, but we need to meet our high deductible first. We hope to get treatment as soon as possible, but as of now our HSA has now been effectively drained and we will not be able to fill it sufficiently with all of the bills that will start coming.

We are still working on medical bills from previous cancer, but now we will be incurring more bills for scans, tests, labs, (potential) surgery, radiation treatment, and chemotherapy. This will be followed up with more tests and scans after treatment no doubt. 

The purpose of fundraising now is to try to get ahead of everything that’s coming without going deeper in bills, and pay off some existing, related expenses. We have scans coming up and oncologist appointments coming up in the next few weeks as well.

Your prayers of course are greatly needed, but anything you can give to help us meet this goal will be helpful and a blessing.  We will be using some of our own money as we wait for the go fund me account to come to us, then we will replenish and/or pay back any credit we use.
