Update: I still don't have any answers and Aladdin is not eating or drinking much. It is looking like we need more tests.

UPDATE: It is now looking like Aladdin's heart is the cause. My next step is to get him to a Cardiologist. Please keep sharing our story. #teamaladdin

UPDATE: Aladdin has started walking again, which is such a beautiful sign of hope, but he’s still having seizures and remains in specialist care. I don’t have full answers yet, and he’s still being monitored closely.

Hi, my name is Nicole, and I’m reaching out because my beautiful, sweet cat Aladdin, my little bubbie pie, is fighting for his life.

He suddenly lost the ability to walk about a week ago. One day he was his usual gentle, anxious self - the next, he could barely stand, and now he just lies there, unable to move to his litter tray.

After many vet visits with multiple tests, including being put under general anaesthesia, we had no answers.

So, we rushed him to an emergency specialist hospital, where he’s had CT scans, an MRI, a spinal tap, blood tests, stress tests and more. The vets still don’t know what’s wrong - they’ve ruled out some things, but we’re waiting on more results. They’re working hard to find answers, but the bill has already reached $12,000, and I’ve completely run out of funds.

Aladdin is truly my world - my comfort, my routine, my family, my soul mate. We even have the same birthday!

He’s only three years old and still so full of life. I just need help to keep his treatment going until we have a clear answer.
