In January 2018, at the age of 35, Abby was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic liver cancer, a shocking diagnosis to this amazing wife, intentional mommy to 3 precious kids, sweet daughter, big sister, loving friend, dedicated nurse and so much more to so many. Michael and Abby decided from the waiting room of their first appointment, to choose Faith over Fear. They have made that their anthem throughout Abby’s fight and she has walked this journey with true joy, even in immense pain, that could only come from Him.
Abby started chemo the month after the diagnosis and began regular trips to MD Anderson in Houston while also doing radiation and eventually additional treatments here in OKC. They received news this week, that there are no other treatment options available.
Over the past 2 ½ years, SO many have generously blessed the Brobston Family, helping with travel expenses for trips to treatment, bringing meals, loving on the kids (Rhett-11, Reese-8 and Reagan-3), constant prayers and encouragement and so much more. They have humbly expressed their gratitude and true amazement for the way people have cared for their family in this journey and would never ask or desire more.
As friends and community gathered around this family, our goal is to ease any existing or future burden or stress related to medical and family expenses for the Brobston's. Abby and her story have impacted all of our lives in powerful ways and we want to show her how much we love her and her family.
