Team 987 - HIGHROLLERS

Cimarron-Memorial High School Robotics Team 987, The High Rollers, is back for the 2022 competition season! Our internationally recognized team is excited to be back and continue to help build students for a better future in the STEM community.

This year we are working hard to recover from the Covid-19 pandemic and the unfortunate circumstances that arose from it. As we prepare for the competition season we have been working hard to fundraise throughout our community as much as possible. This year we are hoping to lower competition and travel costs for our team members as inflation has greatly increased the overall cost to run the team. Any funds not raised will fall to the responsibility of individual families, limiting the students by their socioeconomic status, which has been greatly affected by students' families losing jobs or having to overcome financial hardships that have been brought up by this pandemic.

We intend on traveling to California to compete in the FIRST Robotics Orange County Regional Competition as well as our local Las Vegas Regional. Our team is internationally recognized as a Hall of Fame team making us eligible to compete in the 2022 World Championship in Houston, Texas April 19-24. Our seasonal costs include, but are not limited to: 3 $5000 entry fees, approximately $2,500 in shipping, $10,000 tools and robot parts, and $21,000 in travel expenses.
