We are Team 20785X Nova, Year 10 VEX V5 Robotics team from Queen Elizabeth’s Boys’ School and we are aiming to fundraise for funds to compete in this season of the VEX V5 Competition program.
What is VEX?
VEX Robotics is a leading global platform for competitive robotics, designed to inspire students in STEM through hands-on engineering challenges. Each year, thousands of teams from around the world design, build, and program robots to compete in a game-based engineering competition.
Here is this year's game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocmONiVun9M
VEX is important for a variety of reasons:
VEX develops real life skills, such as coding, mechanical design, teamwork, project management and problem-solving.
It's global reach: with over 20,000 teams across 60+ countries, it holds the Guiness World Record for being the largest robotics competition in the world.
World Class Competitions: These competitions range from regional, to national to even international levels - including the VEX Robotics World Championship.
About Us:
Queen Elizabeth’s School, Barnet, is one of the UK’s highest-ranking academic institutions. Widely recognized for its excellence in STEM and beyond, QE Barnet consistently ranks among the top schools nationally. The school is known for producing ambitious, forward-thinking students who thrive in both academic and competitive environments. We, as a team, strongly embody this tradition through our robotics programme as well.
Our team has already achieved some amazing milestones:
Worlds Design Award – recognising our innovation on the world stage
Qualified for the UK Nationals 7 times in just two seasons
Qualified for the VEX World Championships
National Amaze Award for programming
National Design Award for robot design and progression
Regional Excellence, Tournament Champion, and Design Awards (multiple times!)
These accomplishments reflect our technical expertise, innovative mindset, and strong commitment to teamwork.

This is far beyond what we can raise alone, which is why we’re reaching out for your support.
