I have been a special ed teacher to emotionally disturbed children for the last 25+ years. Over this last summer, an overzealous fourth-grade child gave me an aggressive hug. A couple of weeks later, I am on an operating table taking care of three slipped discs that have imposed on my spinal cord. My surgery was in August 2024. I still am not able to return to work.
