Striking for Students but Needs to Save His House

Our colleague who has been a teacher in Los Angeles Unified School District for 25 years is on strike fighting for his students  and is on the verge of losing his house. Yet he is on the picket line daily fighting for his students. 
To complicate things, his wife had a stroke last year and is unable to work which has caused lot of unexpected expenses.
