When At First You Don't Succeed

I am a single mother who has dedicated her life to teaching mathematics to future global players in high needs areas for 22 years.

Recently, my family suffered a great financial blow at the hands of Edvectus when I decided to teach women in the middle east.

I signed a contract, through edvectus, to teach with the ADEC back on June 2nd. I am an outstanding teacher, co-worker and employee. Edvectus is the company that I was using as a recruiting company. After signing a contract and spending 6,000 on authentication, medical immuzinations, getting my family ready to move across the world, vet bills to get my animals ready for the move, ECT... I checked with one of the directors of the company to make sure everything was still set for my families departure. She confirmed that everything was moving along and I would be leaving with the next group of teachers. After this confitmation, I told my district I would be leaving, gave away all my household goods and furniture, my car is gone and informed my landlord I would be out of my apartment by October 1st.

I was diligent with checking in to see how things were progressing. On September 19th I was told that I would be departing soon. On September 25th I was finally informed by edvectus that it had fallen through because my file was incomplete. Incomplete through no fault of my own. The moment the agency asked for anything I started the process. By Sept 25th I had long sent edvectus everything that was needed for my file. I received a sorry, bit it was not anyone's fault! Really, because I signed a contract and did everything I was told to do, down to paying an outrageous amount of money to an authentication company edvectus suggested as experts.

After I attempted to receive some sort of compensation, Edvectus cut off all contact with me. The company has left me (a single mother) and my family homeless, careless and jobless due to the companies negligent behavior!

I immediately rallied and found a teaching position in Salinas CA. I now need a car and a security deposit to get from Illinois to Salinas, get my certification transferred and begin teaching.

I thank you for any help you are able to give.
