A teacher in Minneapolis, struggling to make ends meet after our retainment bonuses quit coming in. At first, my hours were reduced, then the bonuses that were keeping me afloat stopped coming in about the same time they started putting out fear ads on streaming platforms. I've cut out everything even having to cancel yearly check ups and vet visits for my cat to keep bills paid as much as I can. Increased grocery costs, HOA fees, and property tax increases have spread me thin to a level were my own health is beginning to suffer from it.
