Teacher, Mom, Cancer Fighter!!!

Help us fight metastatic stage 4 breast cancer!

Dear friends,

As some of you may already know, our beautiful Elena was admitted to a hospital in Italy and was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer, a very aggressive & difficult to treat form of breast cancer in October 2022. Unfortunately, the cancer has spread to her lungs, kidneys, and bones.

As this is very challenging diagnosis, to obtain the best possible outcome, we expect Chemotherapy to be recommended & implemented immediately. It is not expected for Elena to gain her mobility back in full.

Elena is the founder of School4Math in 2007. She is also the organizer and familiar face behind The Annual New Pythagoreans Math Competition where your children showed their success. She selflessly taught your children, and may be yourself as well, for the last 15 years only stopping on October 4th due to the debilitating fatigue she suffered as a result of the tumor. What Elena loves the most is being a teacher and making a difference in her students lives and their future aspirations. She has created and recorded thousands of math lessons from Grade 1 to university level for her students and never said “No” to anyone who needed help last minute for a difficult test. Nothing makes her happier than helping students attain their dreams. She also loves when students contact her years after graduation and hearing about the lives they have built.

Elena & Monika are the last to ever ask for help, especially financially.

My hope is that you will find it within your hearts to send some donation to assist with the already mounting medical expenses and her current and future loss of income, and unknown rehabilitation costs and to provide a sense of comfort for her as we all maneuver through this new reality.
