Liza, who is a beloved early childhood educator at C5, was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. I cannot think of a single instance where I've gone to drop off or pick up my son and Liza wasn't  smiling, singing and laughing simultaneously. Liza IS joy. She makes each day special for the children in her care and we parents are better for her being in our children's lives. 

In a few weeks time, Liza will begin a year long round of chemotherapy and will be out of work for at least the next 6 months. Liza will receive disability and some of her medical treatment will be covered through insurance. However, it is anticipated that Liza will pay ~7K out of pocket.

Over the next few months, we would like to raise money to support Liza and her family as they learn to adjust to this new way of life. Please share your stories about Liza with family and friends. Reflect on the happiness she brings to the children at C5 and the thoughtfulness she brings to her work in the classroom.  Remember how the work she does each day contributes to the development of your child's sense of the world around them!
