Teacher Joanna's Car Accident

My name is Valeria, and my friends and coworkers are fundraising for our colleague Joanna who had a car accident earlier this month, this is Joanna's declaration of the tragic events:

"On Tuesday, January 4th, 2022 as I was headed to work and was getting in my car, a blue Honda struck the side of my car pulling off the driver’s side door as well as the bumper. The other car did not stop and drove off. This caused an immediate shock to me as I almost lost my life in this accident. As this all happened so fast, I was not able to get the license plate and the blue Honda was going way beyond the speed limit. The police were called to the scene and they did not help as they refused to show up. The nearby stores and neighbors checked their cameras but the footage did not catch the licence plate of the hit-and-run driver.

This unforeseen accident is beyond my means. I am a single mother of two who works as a preschool teacher in San Francisco and it has been a real struggle to get by living in the city with the high rent prices. I rely on my vehicle every day to move around the city, to take my children to school as well as drive to work. I was not able to afford to pay for full coverage insurance with all my monthly expenses. At the moment I cannot afford my car payment plus the high cost of an insurance card, plus car rentals, as well as other bills (including a parking ticket from the day of the accident). It has been a very rough and traumatic start to the year, but with your support, I will be able to move forward, please donate if you’re able to"

Mi nombre es Valeria, mis amigos y compañeras de trabajo estamos recaudando fondos para nuestra colega Joanna la cual sufrio un accidente trafico a principios de mes. Esta es la declaracion de Joanna sobre el tragico evento.

"El martes 4 de enero de 2022, cuando me dirigía al trabajo y estaba subiendo a mi automóvil, un Honda azul golpeó el costado de mi automóvil arrancando la puerta del lado del conductor y el parachoques. El otro carro no se detuvo y se fue. Esto me causó shock inmediato ya que casi pierdo la vida en este accidente. Como todo esto sucedió tan rápido, no pude obtener la matrícula del carro y el Honda azul estaba yendo mucho más allá del límite de velocidad. La policía fue llamada al lugar y no ayudaron, ya que se negaron a presentarse. Las tiendas cercanas y los vecinos revisaron sus cámaras, pero las imágenes no captaron la matrícula del conductor que se dio a la fuga.

Este accidente imprevisto está más allá de mis posibilidades. Soy una madre soltera de dos niños que trabaja como maestra de preescolar en San Francisco y ha sido una verdadera lucha vivir en la ciudad con los altos precios de renta. Todos los días dependo de mi vehículo para moverme por la ciudad, para llevar a mis hijos a la escuela y para conducir al trabajo. No tengo manera de poder pagar el seguro de cobertura total con todos mis gastos mensuales.
