In July of 2023 Jill was diagnosed with Breast Cancer for the third time. This time it was stage 4 and in her bones, liver, and lungs. She has tried Kisquali, chemotherapy, and radiation. Due to a variety of factors these treatments have been unsuccessful.

Jill has been in and out of the hospital 7 times since January, mainly for stomach and back pain. We are frustrated she can't find any relief.  She fell last night at the hospital and has a fermoral neck fracture. She will be having a hip surgery tomorrow.  She has been mainly sleeping today due to pain pills, but every movement causes her to wince. This will be a difficult recovery for her. 

The last treatment option is a pill called olaparib. It has side effects (as do all treatment options at this point), Jill changes her mind if she wants to try it or not, but seems to land on yes more then no.  We are also debating if she should get radiation again, she would need to get an MRI to see where to target it, she can only get radiation one more time before it becomes to dangerous.  We have some big choices to make, but it is clear that we need to make a change to get Jill some relief. We will need to wait until she is recovered from the hip surgery to move forward with these options if we chose to do so.

We have put this off, but it is time to start a GoFund me for medical and household expenses. The meal train was so incredibly helpful in the fall, with Jill being in and out of the hospital it would be hard to coordinate since the schedule is changing.  We are hoping for a little help from our support systems to help ease the financial strain.
