This go fund me account has been created for a loving charismatic teacher.

Her name is Jackie.

She receives my son every morning with a smile on her face, even when my son screams and cries.

She lets me know every morning that he will stop crying in a little bit.

I remember distinctively on May 10th dropping off my son at daycare, and he was more irritable than usual. As soon as we entered the school, and he saw Teacher Jackie he started screaming, and holding onto my clothes tightly.

Teacher Jackie with a smile on her face let me know once again that he would be alright, and that he would stop crying as soon as I left. I handed him over to her, and she left with him to the schools kitchen, and miraculously he stopped screaming and crying. I left to work that day at peace knowing he was in good hands, but felt something I cannot describe when I looked into Teacher Jackie’s eyes.

This day plays a significant roll to this story, because I later found out Teacher Jackie had been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. I sit here with tears in my eyes, because I remember that day. Teacher Jackie had found out a day before she had stage 4 cancer, and still showed up to work with a smile on her face, and assuring me my son would be ok, and that he would stop crying shortly.

I see teacher Jackie as one of the strongest women I know.  

She has decided to fight this disease. She has not let it define who she is.

Jackie is a mother of 3 children. A wife. A friend. A Teacher, and a Fighter.
