Teacher in Need Due to Cancer Diagnosis

I am a teacher in Las Vegas, Nv and my co-worker (aka bestie/work wife whom I have been teaching next door to for TWELVE years) was diagnosed with colon cancer this summer. After multiple trips to the emergency room and doctor's office, they discovered a tumor covering 90% of her colon. Therefore, she had to undergo surgery where her colon was removed. The surgery did not go as planned and she had to remain in the hospital, with no visitors due to COVID, for 21 days. She didn't get to see her babies, her husband, family or friends. Through all of this she remained as positive and upbeat as she could be. 

Upon returning back home, she has been working with therapists who are helping her learn how to walk again, bathe, all of the things we take for granted. Luckily her immune system has become strong enough to hopefully start chemotherapy soon. She was ultimately diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer and will have to undergo 4 rounds of chemo, which means she will not be coming back to work in the foreseeable future.

I am starting this Go Fund Me page to help raise funds for her medical bills and everyday bills due to loss of wages. We all know teachers do not make much as it is, so my girl could use any financial support we can give her!
