Question: How does grief shape our connection to culture and can healing bring us closer to what we've lost?

Outline:

Teach Me How To Cry, is an intimate observation of how deep seated grief unbeknownst to us, roots itself in the deepest most part of our identity and taints it.

Our director Sasha Guselnikov, in an attempt to connect with his Russian/Chinese immigrant Grandmother Rima Guselnikov, will uncover and try to help her heal with her three decade spanning journey of the loss of her own mother, slowly watching her culture and history fade. This isn't just for shocking reactions, this is a real story where Rima and Sasha's connection as a grandmother and grandson are forefront to the emotional root of the film .

Budget Overview:

Whilst we are trying to do this production as cost effective as possible we need your donations in order to accurately and authentically do justice to our visually distinct desired vision. We intend to full heartedly bring to life Rima's story through a sense of compassion, understanding and sensitivity. Her story must be told.

- Super 8 film development

- SSD’s & HDD storage devices

- Post production costs

- Film festival entries
