Hello everyone,

We are Moosk! Theatre, a young company spread out over the south of the UK, dedicated to telling weird and wonderful stories onstage. Our name comes from our cat Moosk, our managing director and head of finances. Despite being an international crime lord she has taken the time out to perform charity work in helping us with this production, which we are immensely grateful for. This August we are embarking on our Camden Fringe Festival Debut with our play ‘Teach me About Dying’, a sapphic dark comedy telling a love story between the Grim reaper and her latest ‘victim’.

A bit about the play:

On a random Tuesday morning, Ava is confronted with a vision of death in her doorway telling her ‘times up’- the grim reaper is here and there's nothing she can do about it. Rather than take it lying down, she sweet talks death into giving her an extra six weeks to truly live her life, resulting in them gallivanting around the country, taking joy in simple pleasures and each other's company. Occasionally accompanied by her ex-boyfriend and her cat, the pair spend Ava’s final weeks indulging in both the grand and mundane aspects of life.

Exploring themes of love, loss, friendship and the inevitable passing of time, ‘Teach Me About Dying’ is a queer love story which seeks to answer the age old question - ‘What the hell am I doing with my life?’.

We are looking for donations to help elevate the play and ease some of the financial pressures which come from being a small arts company desperately trying to put shows on. We greatly appreciate any and all support received, and after conferring with the financial mastermind Miss Moosk herself, we have created a set of reward tiers to say thank you for all of your support!
