This is Javier and family, and I’m writing this to share the story of my incredible mom, María Luisa. She was recently diagnosed with metastatic colorectal cancer—a complete shock to our family. For some time, she had been experiencing discomfort, but like the amazing mom she is, she put her own health concerns aside to help raise her grandchildren and support our family. Now, she faces a new and difficult battle.

When my mom received this diagnosis, her biggest concern wasn’t even her own health—it was the cost of the treatments. Our family has been going through financial struggles, and she hates feeling like a burden. But I promised her that no matter what, we would cover her medical bills so she could focus on her health and well-being without worry.

Maria Luisa has always been a fighter. She’s survived a car accident that threw her through the windshield, resulting in the loss of her vision. Through hard work and unwavering faith, she regained part of her sight. She’s raised three children and has been the rock of our family—an example of strength and resilience.

Somos Javier y familia, y quieremos compartir con ustedes la historia de nuestra increíble mamá, María Luisa. Hace poco fue diagnosticada con un cáncer colorectal con metástasis, una sorpresa total para toda nuestra familia. Durante un tiempo, ella venía sintiendo molestias, pero como la gran mamá que es, dejó de lado sus propios problemas para ayudar con la crianza de sus nietos y apoyar a nuestra familia. Ahora, se enfrenta a una nueva y difícil batalla.

Cuando mi mamá recibió este diagnóstico, su mayor preocupación ni siquiera fue su salud, sino el costo de los tratamientos. Nuestra familia ha estado pasando por dificultades económicas, y ella odia sentirse como una carga. Pero le prometí que, sin importar lo que pase, nosotros nos encargaríamos de sus facturas médicas para que pudiera concentrarse en su salud y bienestar sin preocupaciones.

María Luisa siempre ha sido una luchadora. Sobrevivió a un accidente de auto que la expulsó por el parabrisas, lo que le causó la pérdida de la visión. Con trabajo y una fe inquebrantable, logró recuperar parcialmente la vista. Crió tres hijos y siempre ha sido la roca de nuestra familia, un ejemplo de fortaleza y resistencia.
