We have one story of hope and a concrete plan to make a real difference. One marin native woman struggling with mental illness and addiction who has been on the streets of Marin and San Francisco for over 6 years.  She has been able to detox herself from drugs and alcohol and is now over 1 year clean and sober and reaching out for help.   We are an anonymous group of men and women who want to help her get off the streets and back into support systems and a safer life.  Navigating the public agencies and paperwork for disability assistance, Section 8 housing takes time and patience, so we are fundraising to help her afford 3 months rent for a safe, supportive living situation to get her through the winter and keep her off the streets while she works toward a more permanent sustainable living situation.
