Luanne Quick has been a 911 Dispatcher for 16 years and a police dispatcher for 20. Helping people is in her blood. She has been in the local volunteer ambulance paramedic squad for 22years. While working at 911 Dec. 19, 2015 she was taking a call and suffered a stroke. Her co workers dispatched medics and transported to local hospital. She was then later transferred to a higher level hospital. On Dec 24 she had carotid artery surgery which doctors said went well. That evening she suffered 2 more strokes. This time loosing vision in left eye, strength on left side and short term memory loss.  It was touch and go between Christmas and new years but she pulled through. Today she is home, strength came back but vision still impaired and memory issues. We are thankful to have her back and she looks forward to one day return to work. Now comes the hard part, the bills coming in.  Do to normal bureaucrat red tape, they went from a 3 salary family to 1 with no end in sight.  Luanne and her husband, Rick (assistant volunteer fire Chief)  has been there for those, friends, neighbors and strangers in their time of need and now they need your help.   Luanne is not only a great, strong,  beautiful person,  but is my older sister. Thank for your time - very greatful Quick, Maclary, Smith family
