Hi There, I'm Cheryl Willard and I have a dear friend, Ronnie, who has a habit of always giving and never asking - even when he needs it the most.
Let me share his story;
In every family, there’s someone who holds the line. Someone who gives without needing recognition. Someone whose quiet strength leaves a lasting mark.
For us, that someone is Uncle Ronnie.
Born and raised in the Philippines, Ronnie always dreamed of building a better life for his family. That dream meant making an unthinkable sacrifice—leaving behind his wife and young children to come to Canada, alone, in pursuit of opportunity. For eight long years, he worked tirelessly, enduring loneliness, hardship, and the weight of separation—all with one goal in mind: to reunite his family and give them the life they deserved.
Eventually, his dream came true. Ronnie brought his family to Canada, found a home, and became an electrician at Versys, where he quickly became a beloved teammate. His unmatched work ethic, attention to detail, and kind spirit earned him the highest respect. In fact, we have a saying at work: The Ronnie Standard—because no one works harder or with more heart.
Now, Ronnie is facing his toughest challenge yet: Brain Cancer.
On November 8th, we’re hosting a special fundraiser at The St. Albert Community Hall to support him and his family through this unimaginable time. The event theme is Price is Right, and we will have Charcuterie, entertainment, a silent auction—and we are humbly asking for your support.
BUT if you can't make it, that's why I created this fantastic Go Fund Me:).
We are also looking for silent auction donation Items and we would be incredibly grateful if that's something that interest you.
All donors will be gratefully recognized at the event, on our website, and through social media. Most importantly, your support will help us lift up someone who has spent his life lifting others.
If you have any question or would love to donate, please contact me:)
