Dear friends, family, and compassionate animal lovers

I am reaching out with a heavy heart and a glimmer of hope. Our dear friends Stacy and Dave are facing an emotional and financial challenge that we know many of you will empathize with. Their beloved dog, Milo, has recently and suddenly gone blind due to diabetes-related cataracts.

Milo is loved beyond measure. He is their loyal companion and a constant source of joy. Losing his sight so quickly has been disorienting and heartbreaking for him and everyone who loves him. But there’s hope.

A veterinary ophthalmologist has confirmed that cataract surgery can fully restore Milo’s vision. The surgery has an extremely high success rate, especially at his relatively young age, and there would be zero chance of the cataracts recurring. With this procedure, Milo could go back to chasing his favorite toys and enjoying all the simple pleasures he once did with ease.

But, the surgery, follow-up care, and associated treatments come with a steep price tag.

Knowing how much Milo means to them, and how generous they’ve been with others, I felt moved to create this campaign on their behalf. (Let’s just say this is one of those “ask forgiveness rather than permission” moments.) I’ve set the goal at half of the total cost…but anything we raise will help them shoulder this unexpected financial burden.

Every single dollar will go directly to:

• Cataract surgery and pre-op diagnostics

• Post-operative medications and care

• Follow-up visits to ensure his vision is restored safely and successfully
