I've decided to continue my education and pursue my master's degree in Entertainment Business at Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL. For the past decade, I have been formerly educated and self-taught in many creative areas including sound production, audio engineering, graphic design, website development, on-brand content curation, and videography. With courses such as Brand Development, Entertainment Business Finance, and Negotiation and Deal-Making, this 12-month degree program will provide me with the education and skills necessary to excel and lead in the entertainment industry.
Full Sail University, however, does not offer traditional housing like other universities and colleges in the U.S. As a resident of Prince George's County, MD, this will require me to relocate to Winter Park, FL and find an off-campus apartment. Due to the extensive and accelerated course load, I will not have the opportunity to be a full-time employee and a full-time student.
I have been provided a housing guide from the university that details the amount of rent for specific apartment complexes in the area. The goal that has been specified is an amount that will allow me to pay rent for the year that I will be enrolled in school.
This opportunity means a lot to me because it will help me achieve my goal of becoming a full-time music producer in a new environment and network with young creatives from other regions. This degree program will also equip me with the knowledge, experience, and connections to help other artist appropriately develop their own brands.
