Hello Friends and Family,

I’m saddened that my father, Rohn of 83 years young, unexpectedly passed away in his sleep last week at his home in North Bend, Oregon. I say “unexpectedly” because he was so healthy and sharp of mind, we really thought he’d live to be 100. I’m his only child and without any brothers or sisters to help. Because of his reverse mortgage, I have only a small window of time left to go to his home and collect anything of importance or sentimental value before the bank seizes it and bars me from entering. I’m anticipating to find a massive book and magazine collection. Dad loved reading, especially Ray Bradbury and other science fiction. He often visited his local library. I’m hoping that for the books I can’t take, the local library he frequented will.

The suddenness of his death means I have to act fast with no funds to draw on. I need to quickly raise some money to help me take a trip from Pasadena, California to North Bend, Oregon and back. I also have to pay for his cremation and death certificates and other services and paperwork (The cremation is $1500, death certificates are $25 each, the trip will probably be at least $500).

I don’t want to ask for contributions for nothing in exchange. I think contributors should be rewarded, so I’m offering prints of my original art for this GoFundMe campaign. I’ve chosen pieces that were some of my favorites inspired by the children’s literature classics my father used to read me:

For $40, you may select two prints.

For $75, you may select four prints.
For $100, you may select six prints.
For $120, you may select ten prints.
