Elvis The Rescue Donkey

Elvis the donkey was left alone for 4 or 5 years on 5 acres of land in a very remote spot, only seeing people very rarely.   He wasn't fed or looked after until we bought the land next door and were feeding him for a year until eventually the owner let us buy him.   We found out he used to have a companion, a bull who got bitten by a snake and died.. leaving Elvis alone

For the years Elvis lived on this overgrown land he was terrified of the tall grass because of the snakes and so he lived under immense stress for all that time.

He is sensitive and sweet but he has been through a lot emotionally and its taken him time to trust us but it seems to be working. People who used to see him when they drove past his old land say he now looks like a different donkey and that makes us happy.   He now gets fed and has clean water and lots of company and attention - along with veterinary care and has his own little donkey stable with his name on it. 

To buy him and look after him is expensive. we want to buy him a companion, perhaps a goat, and so all and any assistance with the expense is greatly appreciated.  If you would like to come and see Elvis we will be happy to arrange that, please contact us..
