TC MOB : Together for Caeleb’s Recovery
On Friday afternoon, March 5th, our Senior second baseman, Caeleb Menough broke back full speed on a fly ball during a routine drill in practice and went after it like it was the last out in the 2021 State Championship. #8 set an example for all the players in our program: TEAMMATES FIRST... Give all you have for your teammates...all the time! Seconds later, after a violent collision face to knee with a teammate, Caeleb fought for his life on the grass in centerfield and sustained a Le Fort fracture and multiple injuries to his face and head. After a day in ICU, then a few days in the trauma unit, with an abundance of prayers and support lifting him up...Caeleb miraculously walked out of the hospital on Tuesday no longer in “critical” condition. This is a brief break from the hospital before he will enter a very long journey ahead filled with multiple surgeries and recovery.
Caeleb and his family have always been “givers” to our program. They never asked “What will Roberson Baseball do for Us?” ... they always took the approach to SERVE and asked: “What can we do for The Rams?” After the incident, the first concern that was relayed to our baseball family was not about Caeleb, or his situation... but it was about the young man who collided with Caeleb and the well being of the team. Their selflessness amazes us.
It’s time to give back... this family will endure countless medical bills and hardships over the coming months. They will do this with an incredible support system in the #TCMOB and TCR community. However, as Caeleb’s coach for 4 years, We are asking that if you are led to help and feel it in your heart to assist financially any way you can... NOW is the time!
Anything will help... In a program like TCR Baseball, no one is ever alone. Let’s come together for #8!
