Lisa recently received life-altering news: she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Doctors found two lumps in her left breast and one in her underarm. One of the tumors is aggressive and involves her lymph nodes, and after hearing her MRI results, doctors learned the cancer is more advanced than originally expected. Lisa will have to undergo 5 months of chemotherapy before surgery is even looked at as an option. While this news is devastating, Lisa is facing this journey with incredible strength, faith, and courage.

Lisa is no stranger to difficult battles. After struggling to become pregnant, she was finally blessed with twins, Sam and Lila. Their journey into the world was not easy—both were born prematurely and spent significant time in the NICU. Through prayer, perseverance, and unwavering love, Lisa carried her family through that season. Today, Sam and Lila are 7 years old, healthy, thriving, and have no developmental issues. They are living proof of resilience, hope, and God’s faithfulness.

Professionally, Lisa is a psychiatric nurse who dedicates her life to caring for others during their most vulnerable moments. At home, she is the sole provider for her household, which includes her two children, her mom, and her brother. Lisa covers the mortgage, utilities, groceries, and all living expenses while raising two young children who depend on her for everything.

As Lisa begins cancer treatment, her insurance will not fully cover the medical costs she now faces. She will also need to miss work for treatments and appointments, resulting in lost income at a time when her family relies entirely on her paycheck.
