TCN Elementary Needs Your Help!

Hello Community!
The Oakland Unified School District is in a financial crisis. As a result, the district has decided to reduce Think College Now Elementary's teachers from 12 to 11. This means that not only will student to teacher ratios increase, it also means that many teachers will have combined classrooms (i.e. 5th and 4th grade together and 3rd and 2nd grade together). This means teachers will have to balance curriculum for two different grades and a larger student load.
While schools in more resourced parts of Oakland regularly raise $250,000 to $400,000 through their PTAs. TCN's PTA - where over 95% of our students qualify for free or reduced lunches - fundraises less than $2,000 a year.
As parents, we want our children to get the best quality education they can. These changes to our school will inevitably pose a greater obstacle to delivering the highest quality education our children deserve.
WHAT WE NEED:
-$92,000 to continue funding the teacher position we're losing
-$3,000 GoFundMe fees (UPDATED based on offline donations that did not go through GoFundMe)
