Support Nesma's Family in Gaza Crisis

Donation protected
I am raising funds for my friend Nesma Alhaj and her family, who live in Gaza, Palestine. Nesma has been sharing with me the dire circumstances they have been facing due to the ongoing conflict, and I am determined to help them in any way I can. My name is Rayan Saeed. I am a software engineer based in Dubai, UAE but originally from Pakistan. I plan to transfer the funds directly to Nesma through a combination of international bank transfers and different money exchanges that can get her the money in Gaza, ensuring that every dollar and penny reaches them promptly and securely.

Here is Nesma's story that she wrote for everyone reading her GoFundMe:

About a year ago, our lives came to a complete halt. I lost my job and my clients, and I had to start from scratch. On the fourth day of the war, we fled our home at dawn in extreme fear. When we arrived at a relative's house, a huge explosion occurred, and the windows fell on our heads, but we miraculously survived. We spent months moving from house to house, where there was no safety, searching for food, water, and basic necessities. Finally, we ended up in a tent where basic needs for life were nonexistent, and we spent our first night on the street in January, enduring the bitter cold. We returned to a primitive life that can only be described as difficult, and when we returned to our home, we found it partially damaged—the roof had partially collapsed, the windows were destroyed, the doors were broken, and the walls were cracked.

My family consists of:

- My father, 57 years old, suffers from leg pain and a shoulder fracture that hasn't healed, making it impossible to move his arm normally. He is exhausted from work and fetching water, yet he supports us and my married brother who lost his job. My father has a debt of $40,000.
- My mother, 55 years old, suffers from rheumatoid arthritis in her fingers and a slipped disc in her leg. She is exhausted from hand washing and house chores.
- My sister Intimaa, 33 years old, suffers from vitamin deficiency and has four children: Ahmed, 2 years old, needs milk and diapers; Ghazal, 3 years old, needs nutritious food to strengthen her immunity; Mohammed, 7 years old, and Nabil, 10 years old, lost their education due to the war. They have contracted viral hepatitis and skin diseases.
- My brother Sharaf, 32 years old, suffers from a slipped disc in his back. He lost his job, which was completely destroyed by the war, and his dreams and goals were shattered. He has a 2-year-old child, Rajab, who has skin diseases and needs milk, diapers, and nutritious food for children.
- Sharaf's wife, Samar, 26 years old, had a dream of becoming a successful teacher.
- My sister Nada, 27 years old, and her husband Bilal, 30 years old, lost their jobs. Their child Marwan, 2 years old, needs milk.
- I, Nesma, 25 years old, suffer from muscle tension in my back and stomach. I am an ambitious graduate, working from one job to another since my graduation. I was an assistant at the university due to my excellence in engineering, and I later worked independently with many clients, but I lost them all and returned to square one because of the war.
- My sister Saja, 22 years old, was unable to complete her studies and graduate from our university due to the war and needs to continue her studies abroad.
- My brother Mohammed, 19 years old, finished high school and was supposed to start his university journey, which has not yet begun. He needs to continue his education abroad.

The war killed our normal lives, returned us to square one, and took our health due to malnutrition. Our money went to non-nutritious food, and there is a significant increase in the prices of goods. Diseases have spread everywhere. We are a simple family that wants to continue our normal life, but the cost of leaving Gaza is $5,000 per person, which is a huge amount.

We ask for your help to survive this genocide and start our lives anew. Thank you for your time, and we pray that God blesses you and grants you safety, health, and prosperity.
