Ryan McGovern graduated from Hopewell Senior High School in June of 2010.  While in school, Ryan played four years for the Hopewell Boys Volleyball team, lettering two years playing defensive specialist. Ryan was also team manager for Hopewell Girls Volleyball team.

After graduation Ryan went to the University of Pittsburgh, where he was studying Criminal Justice.  He served in the ROTC at PITT and was inducted into the Army National Guard.   Ryan passed away unexpectedly in February 2011, at the age of 19.

For our senior project, we are raising funds to retire Ryan's volleyball jersey (#13), which will be displayed in the Hopewell Senior High School lobby.   Additional funds will be used for the Ryan McGovern Memorial Scholarship Fund.
