Andy Wilcox has been a lot of things to a lot of people. He has been a barber, a friend, a brother, a son, a Husband, a father, a confidant, a therapist, a Reverend and so much more!
But to those of us that really know him , know that he is a "servant" and a true reflection of Jesus Christ in all that he does, and never has and never will get caught up in a title. His life has been, and continues to be about helping others, with no fanfair or public recognition required. I have known Andy for over 40 years, and have seen him on more occasions than I can count "Give" to others. Whether it be time, money, food, clothing, encouragement, or a lot of free haircuts!
In October of 2014 , Andy was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, and is now in the process of receiving stem cell transplant. He will be in isolation for the next 15-20 days at Hahneman Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa.
It was a shock to his family and friends when we learned
of his diagnosis. More so to his immediate family, which includes his lovely wife Jacqui, of 32 years, and his children, Andrew Jr., Aaron, and Rachel.

Prior to his illness, this God fearing man had multiple jobs to provide for his family which included being a full time Barber, at the Friendship III Barbershop, in Lawnside, NJ for almost 40 years. And most recently, for the past 5 years, he has been working the overnight shift at Virtua Hospital in South Jersey. Both of these occupations have allowed him to share his life's mission of sharing Jesus Christ. On a daily basis Andy's words inspired many people, and he not only "talked the talk, but he walked the walk!"

Andy is also the Assistant Pastor at Holy Trinity COGIC in Woodbury, NJ where he continues to be a beacon of light for all to see. His passion and calling, in life, is to continually serve God and all of His people.
He is maintaininig such a positive attitude through this very difficult and personal time period, and often says "To God be the glory, because everything that God has done, has allowed me to be a witness for Him". As I was sitting and talking to Andy as recently as Friday, we discussed the fact that he has been a giver all of his life, and he truly believes that God is teaching him something through this process.
Certainly, he has been stressing about the mounting hospital bills, as well as his family's day to day personal expenses. ( 2 of his children are still in College!) But as we continued to talk and watch the birds fly around outside , he confirmed what the songwriter said, "His eye is on the sparrow, so I know he watches me."
I am asking, that first and foremost, anyone that is reading this to please take time and pray for Andrew's healing and recovery. His family has been going through a very difficult time, and they need prayer as well. Andy's youngest son Aaron, just 2 weeks ago had surgery to repair a broken kneecap, and Andy's father-in-law is scheduled to have surgery tommorow to have one of his feet amputated. Please, let's continue to offer up special prayers for this family.
Any donation that God places on your heart is very much appreciated , as it will help this loving family meet their mounting monetary expenses. Please also post this up on your social media page so that others can be a blessing to Andy and his family
Thank you, in advance, for your outpouring of love and support.
Sincerely,
A Friend of Andrew Wilcox
