Help Pepper Beat Cancer

If anyone knows me, you know I'm not the type to normally ask for help with these kinds of things. But Pepper is a huge part of our family and we can't imagine our home without her.

I have a 11 year old female cat (Pepper, I attached some photos of her as well), who I adopted from a rescue when she was a year old. Earlier this week we found a mass, and yesterday we brought her to the vet & she was diagnosed with mammary cancer. She has never even gotten as much as a cold in the 10 years we’ve had her. We have an appointment with a surgeon on Wednesday, Jan 15 for a consultation, bloodwork, and imaging, which we were quoted $1,000 for that visit alone. Following this, she will require surgery, which we have been quoted several thousand for as of now, not even including if she will need reoccurring follow-up treatment like radiation or chemo.

I’m trying to raise money especially on behalf of my mother, whose “person” is Pepper. My mom lost her own mother, my father, our other cat Tillie, and her job within the past 2 1/2 years and her main source of strength and resilience has been her companionship with Pepper, and can’t imagine any life without her. She is an exceptionally loving, intelligent cat who seems to understand literally everything going on around her. She understands when there's stress, or if someone is upset, and seems to know how to handle it (maybe better than even I could).

I won’t ramble on anymore, but we are willing to pay a significant amount to treat Pepper's needs. However, due to our recent life changes, we need some financial assistance to help cover some of these costs. Even if it’s only a little, I would be eternally grateful! She is an integral part of our family, and the last thing we can handle at this point is seeing her suffer, especially after being so healthy and strong her entire life.

After everything she has given us, Pepper deserves to heal and continue to live and love, and we hope to be able to give her the treatment she deserves. Even a tiny bit contributes to her treatment and I would be eternally grateful.
