TC100- Thomas County Central Cross Country

Ultramarathon: (noun) a long-distance running race that is longer than a marathon (which is 26 miles)

Can you imagine what it would be like to run 100 miles at once? Dr. Scott James, a long-time employee of Thomas County Schools, will run 100 miles (consecutively) at the Thomas County Middle School cross country trails. He will begin his ultramarathon Thursday, September 1st, at the start of the Yellow Jacket Invitational. After running all night and all day Friday, he will finish his 100 miles Friday evening.

We are looking for donations to sponsor each mile of his race. All proceeds will benefit TCCHS Cross Country: uniforms, entry fees for meets, hotels for region/state races, end-of-season banquets, and gear for the athletes. Please help us meet our goal of $3,000! Thank you so much to Dr. James for showing us that nothing is impossible with courage, the right mindset, and self-discipline!

"To become an ultramarathon runner, you must have the courage to explore the vast depths of the impossible until you find a possibility." -Michael Di'Aulerio
