Think back to the days of high school, the excitement that comes with Senior Year. The lasts of everything…Football games, Homecoming, Prom, Senior Skip Day, Graduation and the All-Night Parties. The emotions of wanting to graduate, not wanting to leave, what comes next and looking forward to a summer filled with fun. 2021 Seniors are unique. It is not news that these past two school years have been difficult, most difficult I would argue for this class. What should have been filled with typical high school activities was replaced with interrupted learning, distance and isolation and one disappointment after another as things were postponed or cancelled all together.
This GoFundMe is our chance to surprise them, create something, ANYTHING that resembles some sort of normalcy. Graduation will take place a on June 6th 2021, and this we are certain. Where it will be? Who will be allowed? What will it look like? While some things are still unclear, we do know the traditional Senior Night Party is cancelled. Traditionally, Seniors receive fun prizes at this party – something they look forward to. In lieu of an actual party, we still would like to provide some type of prize for the almost 400 graduating Seniors. What this will look like will depend on the outcome of our fundraising efforts but be assured every dollar will be spent to make this a memorable event.
If you can, could you please help us create a Senior “Virtual” Party they will never forget? Let us show them that we are proud of their accomplishments, that we appreciate their efforts and despite these limitations due to the pandemic, that creativity, community and empathy can show us the beauty of HOPE.
Congratulations Class of 2021
