How the TBX4 Young Researcher Fund helps
The TBX4 Young Researcher Fund is a direct, practical investment in progress.
With a $5,000 goal for 2026, this fund will help young and early-career researchers take part in key scientific conferences and TBX4-related events — where collaboration, learning, and long-term commitment begin.
Your donation helps to:
- Support conference participation for young researchers in 2026
- Connect them to the global TBX4 scientific community
- Create access to mentorship, guidance, and collaboration
- Enable early contributions that shape future research directions
Even a small donation can help cover travel, registration, or networking opportunities. Together, these steps make a real difference.
Why young researchers are essential to finding a cure — faster
Rare diseases like TBX4 Syndrome cannot move forward without new people entering the field and staying in it.
Young researchers are critical because they:
- Bring fresh ideas and new approaches to complex scientific problems
- Build the long-term expertise needed for sustained discovery
- Form the next generation of leaders who will drive TBX4 research for decades
⏱️ Help accelerate progress toward better treatments — and ultimately a Cure
Without early support, many talented scientists never get the chance to focus on ultra-rare diseases. When they are supported early, they are far more likely to commit long-term.
Your impact
By supporting the TBX4 Young Researcher Fund, you are not just funding attendance at events —
you are building the scientific pipeline that TBX4 urgently needs.
Every contribution helps strengthen the path toward faster discoveries, better treatments, and hope for families affected by TBX4 Syndrome.
TBX4Life is a rare disease advocacy initiative. It supports those affected by TBX4 Syndrome: a life-limiting and life-threatening genetic disorder caused by mutations in the TBX4 gene. It affects humans of all ages, but primarily children and infants. Besides other issues, TBX4 Syndrome causes two chronic diseases which have NO CURE - Pulmonary Hypertension (increased pressure in the lung vessels) and Diffuse Lung Disease (anomalies in lungs). TBX4Life fosters the research to find a Cure. https://tbx4.org
