To all of Shawn's friends and family near and far I am humbly reaching out to you. Today has been probably one of the most difficult days for him as well as for myself and soon to find out his children. As most of you know Shawn has been drug through a lengthy, exhausting, financially draining (stripped of everything) court process...Today was supposed to be a day of celebration and one of liberation..but the tides were turned once again... the illusion of a grandiose life led by him flush with cash was presented and which we all know is so far from the truth. He was humiliated, degraded and made to look as if he is hiding tons of money..I am his fiance and know that his life is led by a very meager means...
He was portrayed as someone that has abandoned his family and indifferent to the wellfare of his children. The court ultimately refused to acknowledge the fact that he has lost everything and still maintains a near 50/50 split of the children. They further refuse to value any of the ways in which he serves the community. Or the generosity in which its done...the fact that he has promoted and hosted the The Southern New England Holistic Living and Wellness Expo as a charity event where the proceeds were donated and made nothing on it was held against him.
If you know Shawn you understand that the most important thing to him is his children. Most of you have witnessed the amazing and beautiful bond that they share. A sad picture was painted that he had no desire to be a part of their life. Crushing to a man that does nothing but love and nurture all. For 28 months since filing for a child support modification and loosing his carwash States attorney Mary Donnely has had her sites set on him...he has provided over 4000 pages of documentation. Has had the last 6 years of his life gone through with a fine tooth comb and has to account for every penny earned and every penny spent. There are no hidden account, no pile of gold as suggested. Today Shawn was sentenced to the ACI and no modification was granted. To witness a man with a heart of gold and one that is willing to give the shirt of his own back was led away by 5 sheriffs (that didn't want to do it) deputies to serve a sentence until $9'500 was paid. Devastated is an understatement. Apparently according to the State of Rhode Island the most important thing that a father can do for his children is write a check to their mother. Someone graciously provided a loan to me because orange is not Shawn's color. I a reaching out to all those that he has lent a hand to or ever helped in one way or another to help repay this debt of gratitude. He's going to be bullshit when he finds out I did this!!
