Thor's Eye Surgery

Hi everyone, my name is Lucas, and I am reaching out with a heavy heart. My dog, Thor, has been my best friend, my source of strength, and my biggest comfort through the toughest time in my life—my battle with cancer.

A few years ago, I was diagnosed with cancer, and without health insurance in Ontario, I had to pay for my treatment entirely on my own. It was a financial and emotional struggle, but my life was saved. At just two weeks old, Thor came into my life while I was still bald from chemotherapy, and he has been by my side ever since. He helped me relearn how to walk, regain my strength, and find joy again in every moment.

Now, at 8 years old, Thor is still incredibly healthy and full of life—except for one major issue. He has lost sight in one of his eyes, and it is now bulging out. The vet has recommended immediate surgery to remove the eye before it ruptures, which could lead to severe pain and life-threatening complications.

As a full-time student and aspiring teacher, I simply cannot afford the cost of this surgery on my own. The procedure alone will be at least $2,000, not including ophthalmology visits, medications, and aftercare.

Thor has always been there for me—now I need to be there for him. But I can’t do it alone. I am asking for your help to save my best friend.
