T-Boned Motorcyclist Loses Leg Right B4 Wedding
Donation protected
At around 1:15pm, December 6th, Chris "Woody" Davie was t-boned by a Chevy Tahoe, which blew threw an intersection. Although Chris tried to avoid the SUV by swerving into an outside lane, the vehicle kept coming, and struck him on his left side. Chris was thrown ~50 feet from his bike, which was pinned under the vehicle. He was airlifted to the Halifax Trauma Center in Daytona, FL, where he is now sedated, and in a medically induced coma. Chris sustained a broken pelvis, broken femur, and crushed occipital bones, all on his left side. Chris had some internal bleeding, but did not sustain any ruptured organs.
Chris has undergone several surgeries since having been admitted to the hospital, and will continue to undergo several more reconstructive surgeries. He is faced with a tremendously arduous recovery, which may never be fully realized.
This tragedy happened less than a week before he was due to get married to his bride, Jalese "Georgia" Callaway.
Chris is the breadwinner for his family, having worked as a arborist for a number of years. Although Jalese works for a cleaning service, her income alone will not cover household bills, or even worse, insurmountable medical bills.
Chris and Jalese are active members of the American Patriots Motorcycle Group. This group is centered around raising charitable funds for military veterans impacted by traumatic brain injuries, PTSD, and other ailments as a result of having served our country. Chris and Jalese have helped raise thousands of dollars for others, and now it's time for them to receive. Chris and Jalese's unwavering generosity should ideally be recognized with matching reciprocity.
We appreciate any and all support provided.
