Andrew Robertson's Fight
Donation protected
To know Andrew Robertson is to love him. One of the most caring and loyal people out there.
Back in August of 2021, shortly after moving to Massachusetts for a new job, he fainted while golfing. After some testing and time in the hospital, it was determined that he had a few strokes. He remained closely monitored from then on.
During the summer of 2022, he started having bad headaches again. Some testing revealed a mass in his brain. A biopsy on November 17, 2022 revealed that the mass was some type of cancer. After meeting with the oncologist he got the initial diagnosis of grade 2 oligodendroglioma. The doctors said it could be grade three but they wouldn't know for sure until they remove the tumor.
Surgery was set for January 5, 2023.
The surgery went well and they were able to remove the tumor. After doing more testing, the grade of the tumor was determined to be a 3 which calls for a more intense and aggressive treatment plan.
On 2/6/2023 Andrew started 6.5 weeks (33 treatments) of radiation and he finished on 3/24/2023. Chemo was supposed to start in late April, but has been delayed because of intense headaches. He will start 6 rounds of chemo 10/12/2023. This will last roughly 9 months with approximately 30 days of treatment with about 2 weeks between each round.
Our goal for this fundraiser is for Andrew not to have to worry about a thing as he faces this next challenge. We want him to feel loved, cared for, and supported. We want to lift any financial burdens that may come up for him during this time.
Please consider supporting our dear friend and keep him in your prayers!
