On 11/11/2023, my life changed in an instant. While attending a concert, I was hit in the head, I was immediately paralyzed on my left side from the waste up. I was rushed to the emergency room to find out I had a brain tumor. I spent 5 days in the hospital, where the doctors did a biopsy. The results of the biopsy showed I have grade 4 astrocytoma brain cancer. I had surgery to remove the tumor from my frontal lobe on 12/18/23. My journey has just begun. I will receive 6 weeks of chemotherapy and radiation followed by 6-12 months of chemotherapy. Prior to all of this I was working, living independently, and enjoying my life. I’m a veteran who served 2 deployments. I love music, powerlifting, nature, and reptiles. Since all of this happened, I had to quit working and it’s just been a snowball effect since.
