Hi, my name is Mafer Aparicio, and together with my husband, Devon Eubanks, we are creating this fundraiser for our baby boy, Arthur Alexander Eubanks Aparicio.

Arthur was born prematurely at just 30 weeks, and since birth he has been fighting bravely in the NICU. He is making encouraging progress and is almost breathing on his own, but he is still not yet able to eat by himself and continues to require specialized medical support. While he is stable and receiving the care he needs, his early arrival has brought unexpected and overwhelming medical expenses.

The hospital care, specialists, equipment, medications, and extended NICU stay have quickly added up. As parents, our only focus right now is being present for Arthur, supporting his growth, and trusting God through this season—but the financial weight is heavy.

Arthur nació de forma prematura a las 30 semanas y desde su nacimiento ha luchado con mucha valentía en la unidad de cuidados intensivos neonatales (NICU). Está mostrando avances alentadores y ya casi puede respirar por sí mismo, pero aún no puede alimentarse solo y sigue necesitando cuidados médicos especializados. Aunque se encuentra estable y recibiendo la atención que necesita, su llegada anticipada ha generado gastos médicos inesperados y abrumadores.

La hospitalización, los especialistas, el equipo médico, los medicamentos y la estancia prolongada en la NICU han hecho que los costos se acumulen rápidamente. Como padres, nuestro mayor enfoque en este momento es estar presentes para Arthur, acompañar su crecimiento y confiar en Dios durante esta etapa, pero la carga económica es grande.
