Many of us have had the privilege of being on the journey with Mel, Gerry, and Melanie Alger over the last 18 months as Gerry has been fighting pancreatic cancer. We now have a chance to  walk alongside the family in a tangible way. We are establishing this fund to provide some financial resources that will help meet a variety of needs: medical, hospice, and most importantly, the chance for Mel and Melanie to take off work to be with Gerry in this leg of her journey. Mel and Melanie have jobs that are such that you don't get paid if you don't work so this fund has been established as a practical way to express our love and support for the Alger family.  We are establishing this fund with the Algers' permission and they have asked us to communicate their deep gratitude for such a meaningful expression of support.
