Katie In Style Fundraiser

Hello to Friends and Family alike.  My name is Tina and I am proud to call myself a friend of Katie!  I met Katie about a month ago at In Style Nails.  She happened to be taking over for another tech while she was on vacation.  As I continued to see her we got to know each other quite well, laughing and carrying on like you do when your sitting next to Sam!! Katie is just one of those women who you meet and you instantly know how pure her heart is!  She shared with me one day as we were sitting, a day like many before, she talked and shared her story with me before I knew it I was in tears...…Katie as most of you know shared with me that she was diagnosed with Multiple Cell Myloma (cancer of the bones).  In that moment I knew that God had placed me right where I needed to be!   Another month has passed and Katie has begun treatment, it is an amazing thing to watch her as she attends these appointments, she has an almost resolve about her, a strength that I have never seen.  Her smile that never goes away just lets you know there is purpose amidst pain.  I have been allowed by the grace of God to be with her to travel this journey with her and provide comfort and support in anyway she needs.  I listen as she talks about all of her clients, friends really, she tells me of the help they want to offer in anyway and how so many have become involved in her journey.  I am so very blessed to be able to witness a community come together and truly support her!  I am writing this now to ask for your support either monetary or otherwise.  Katie will soon begin a month long treatment.  The target date is mid April 2019. During this she will spend a  month in the hospital undergoing these treatments daily, when she is finished she will spend the next month or two letting her body heal and regain strength.  She will be unable to work for about two months.  We are beginning this now to help with her ongoing cycle of treatment and to build a fund for days that she may be to weak to work.  I am hopeful that she will be able to take the time she needs when she needs to rest.  She cares full time for her parents and her two children and works 12 hour days right now to make sure everyone has their needs met.   I will post updates here to let everyone know how things are progressing, as well as on Facebook.  The group name is In Style Katie Fundraiser, just search under groups or look for the link on your Facebook page.  Katie will be writing on facebook and here to each of you as well.  If you have any questions there is a link that will allow you to email me and I would be happy to answer anything.  Thank you to each of you for your continued prayers and support!   Thank you, Katie's Prayer team !!!
