UPDATE 11th FEBRUARY 2026

Good and bad news this week I’m afraid. Taz has had her MRI scan results back and due to not being able to have the chemotherapy the tumour has grown, it’s now around 10cm. The good news is that the lymph nodes have remained stable.
Taz is due to start her radiotherapy and a different type of chemotherapy at Addenbrookes next week which will be Monday- Friday for 5 weeks, a massive financial strain when you have lost your partner.

Lets keep sharing to spread Taz’s story far and wide, in hope it can help anyone who finds themselves in a similar situation, and gives them strength to stand up to the doctors regarding the HPV16 or the HPV 18 results from their smear ready. This is something Taz is looking to start a petition for, and bring the UK into line with America. America refer and treat any smear test with HPV16/18 regardless of the result.

Taz your a inspiration to us all, keep smiling and keep fighting xx

UPDATE 2nd February 2026

Wish I had good news to update you all with but sadly Taz had another reaction to Chemotherapy today and is now unable to have any Chemotherapy. They are now going to have to bring the radiotherapy forward. This is a massive blow to Taz’s treatment and must be extremely worrying for her and her family.

Please keep everything cross that the rest of Taz’s treatment is hassle free, and please keep sharing .

Thinking of you always Taz bash ❤️

Update - Taz is totally blown away by everyone’s generosity, she said that there aren’t enough words in thank you all.

Sadly today Taz has had another set back. She had a reaction to the second dose of chemotherapy and only after a few minutes they had to stop the treatment. Taz is now feeling very unwell and is waiting to hear if she has to stay in Addenbrooks or if she can come home to see her boys.

Please continue to share and help this beautiful lady ❤️

HI, I want to tell you all about an amazing young lady called Tasmin Rubin and her devastating story.

Back in 1994 I had the privilege to meet a very cute one year old girl as I married into her Mum's cousins family. We all lived in a small market town called Bourne in Lincolnshire, and I watched this beautiful toddler grow into a strong, caring, amazing young lady.
Taz always has a smile on her face and is always there for her family and friends, nothing was ever too much trouble for Taz.

Taz went on to meet a lovely man and she started her own family, and became a mummy to two beautiful boys. Taz is an amazing mum and puts 110% into celebrating every holiday and special occasions for her boys . Her movie nights were always a wow moment, and her Demogorgon cookies and pizza when Stranger Things 5 came out were out of this world! Taz is the sort of young lady every mum would want their son to meet! I can not explain in words how amazing this lady is, unless you've had the privilege of knowing Taz then you know exactly what I mean.

Sadly Taz and her boys lives were unexpectedly turned upside down with the sudden loss and death of their partner/daddy in July 2024. They had no warning and no time to say their goodbyes . Taz had to console her boys with the loss of their daddy, who was a massive part of their lives, pushing her own grief aside so she was strong enough to hold them up through the hardest days of their lives.
Taz took on the role of mummy and daddy ensuring her boys never went without, always had smiles on their faces, and that they lived their lives as happy as they could.

In 2025 Taz started to have concerns over symptoms she was experiencing associated with cervical cancer , and in March 2025 had a smear test. The results came back as negative! As the year progressed Taz's symptoms continued to worsen, and Taz attended her Doctors surgery on many occasions. Each time Taz was told many different things and was sent on her way due to the negative smear test. Two weeks before Christmas 2025, only 9 months after a negative smear test and numerous shrug offs from her Doctors Taz was diagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer, that had spread to her pelvic lymph nodes and aortic lymph nodes! A diagnosis that has once again turned this beautiful family's world upside down.
If Taz had been listened to earlier in the year, she could have a full hysterectomy and made a full recovery, and continued bringing her two boys up without fear. Sadly now this is not the case. Taz has now got to undergo weekly sessions of chemotherapy for 6 weeks, followed by 5 weeks of daily radio and chemotherapy, then after all this Taz has to be admitted into hospital for a week of internal radiotherapy. Taz is only 31 years old, and she is facing this treatment with the fear that her beautiful boys may be left without both of their parents.
Taz started her first chemo session on the 12th January, sadly she had a temperature and was not able to have her second dose of chemo the following week. This has led to Taz being admitted to Peterborough City Hospital for 5 days, having 3 different types of IV antibiotics. Tomorrow 27th January 2026 Taz will leave hospital near her home town to go to Addenbrooks hospital in Cambridgeshire - over a hour away from her boys. This proves that the journey is not straight forward and the difficulties Taz and her family face.

I'm reaching out to all the good people of the world for two reasons: The first reason being please can you spare anything to help this remarkable young lady keep a smile on her boys faces, help with all the travel costs allowing her boys to see their mummy as much as possible, to help with the stress of travel costs to and from all her hospital visits. It would be amazing if we could raise enough to send Taz and her boys away for a weekend to make such precious memories that the boys will never forget. Secondly I know Taz wants her story out their to raise massive awareness to this vile disease, and no matter what, listen to yourself and your body and if you need to ask for second, third or fourth opinion to your health concerns and get yourself heard.

I know that Taz will fight cancer every step of the way. Please spare anything you can to make this as less stressful as possible, and share far and wide to get Taz's devastating story out there ......A negative smear test does not mean all is ok!

All donations are going straight to Taz towards her treatment and treats for her boys.
