Hello! I am Taytum’s mom! I am making another gofundme since the other one no longer works.
Taytum is awaiting a heart transplant up at children’s hospital! At 9 days old she spiked a fever. At just 12 days old she was diagnosed with contracting the rhinovirus which got in her blood stream. Which attacked her heart. On Oct 23rd she was placed on ECMO, on the 31st she came off ECMO. Nov 25th she was listed 1A on the transplant list. Nov 30th she went under in her first open heart surgery to be placed on the Berlin LVAD. Since then Taytum has remained in the hospital working on her everyday baby skills to help prepare for a better recovery post transplant. Since she has been up here we have not qualified for the Ronald McDonald housing since we’re to close. Her father and I driver everyday to and from just to see her! It has been a long journey but we aren’t even close to being done yet. Even after transplant taytum will have endless trips up here to make sure her heart and medicines are all working properly!
